No.2 is City Weezle's lastest offering after a long Haitus
taken due to disbanding in 2010.

It's the fruit of years of work,
The album was written and recorded in various beautiful
and precarious places from the backwaters of Ireland to the metropoles of France
and Japan over a 4 year period.

    The Album is Entitled "No.2"
to understand the meaning of the title one only has to refence peepee as No.1
Yet it's also their second full length LP to date.

The album offers 8 tracks and can be thought of as a Cassette or
Vynil having 2 different sides with 4 tracks on each.

The First side can be considered the European side as it doesn't include the bands usual swing rock grooves and the tracks
have different European themes and sounds.

The Second side can be considered the American side as the tracks have a more of an American sound from a melvinsy tune to a bluesy tune to a twisted beach boys tune to a Swingy tune.

This album is a statement that City Weezle is a band capable of evolving and exploring different sounds as they look forward to
Getting back on track and hitting the stage again with a great live show and coming back as soon as possible with another LP
    of new and exciting material.

One is advised to read the lyrics as they add to the experience but it's not neccessary to understand the Funny depths of this music.

The goal of this Album is to keep you entertained with a fun, sharing, abundant and giving energy.
Balls out! caution to the wind! Let City Weezle Rock you!
    Enjoy No.2! (responsibly with precaution.)

about

The initial melody of the intro was found on Banjo. Thinking it sounds italian, an italian colour was chosen for the track
just like a hispanic theme was chosen for "El Matador" on the previous album.

Then the song title "Maestro Mafioso" and lyrics was born from that,
which helped colour the musical theme for the track,The lyrics tell t1he story of a poor italian fleeing poverty
in Italy and finding work with the italian American Mafia on his arrival,Then getting involved in a life of crime
Becoming a hitman for the Mob, living a dangerous life n which they say goodbye with the kiss of death.
The lyrics depict the highs and lows and the pros and cons of the chosen lifestyle.

Musicaly speaking The intro depicts the Family leaving Italy the verse has a punky Dead Kennedy's type feel
To it while the prechorus and chorus are more melodic, There's a bridge part that kind of reminiscent
of an older style may Sinatra-esque Dean Martin type of style before breaking into a more Epic melancholy
Build up to the outro of the song. The song ends with a church organ being played
Over a chilling interview with "The Ice-man" A notorious and prolific hitman who worked for the Mob.

lyrics

(Pedral and Mina sing here and speak some italian)

Adieu mon italie! Addio mio amore!
Je pars pour le nouveau monde
Je pars pour toujours

Johnny's got a job, workin for the mob
Killin' the cream of the crop
He knows that life's a bitch so he's gonna get rich
And thinks the scum will always rise to the top
He'd say: you string 'em up I'll knock 'em down boss
Oh we're taking over this damn town boss
If you say so

(Pre Chorus)
Play your cards right for in this game
You only get one chance to get it right
(Chorus)
So love this life for if you live by the sword
You might die by the knife
Betrayel is the name of the game
And we say good bye with the kiss of death

He's printin' dollar bills and poppin' little pills
And he treats his bitch like a queen
He chose a life of crime cause he'll never earn a dime
Shovelin' shit for the American dream
He'd say I'm sick of all this love hate love boss
Betrayel's gonna fit me like a glove boss
That I know, so

(Pre Chorus repeats)
(Chorus repeats)
And we say good bye

When the moon shine like this
is it love? is it bliss? or am I only dreaming
When the stars twinkle bright in the dead of the night
And in your eyes they're gleaming...

I see...
Love and hate and all the things that we create
Will die and I Will laugh and you will cry

X
Baby don't cry for me I'll be
Singing up here in eternity with the
Angels and the devils that make me me
And only you could save me
X repeats once

Baby Iwas livin' a lie when I
Promised you that I would never die but
Now it's time for me to kiss the sky and die
For only death could set me free!
