No.2 is City Weezle's lastest offering after a long Haitus
taken due to disbanding in 2010.

It's the fruit of years of work,
The album was written and recorded in various beautiful
and precarious places from the backwaters of Ireland to the metropoles of France
and Japan over a 4 year period.

    The Album is Entitled "No.2"
to understand the meaning of the title one only has to refence peepee as No.1
Yet it's also their second full length LP to date.

The album offers 8 tracks and can be thought of as a Cassette or
Vynil having 2 different sides with 4 tracks on each.

The First side can be considered the European side as it doesn't include the bands usual swing rock grooves and the tracks
have different European themes and sounds.

The Second side can be considered the American side as the tracks have a more of an American sound from a melvinsy tune to a bluesy tune to a twisted beach boys tune to a Swingy tune.

This album is a statement that City Weezle is a band capable of evolving and exploring different sounds as they look forward to
Getting back on track and hitting the stage again with a great live show and coming back as soon as possible with another LP
    of new and exciting material.

One is advised to read the lyrics as they add to the experience but it's not neccessary to understand the Funny depths of this music.

The goal of this Album is to keep you entertained with a fun, sharing, abundant and giving energy.
Balls out! caution to the wind! Let City Weezle Rock you!
    Enjoy No.2! (responsibly with precaution.)

about

This track was written back in 2007 by frontman Simon after splitting up with his first longterm GF
Feeling the solitude of Big City life and hitting the bottle to try and fill the void.

The lyrics express the emotional state of that situation in a desperate but light hearted way.

It's a fun slow tempo bluesy in the verses sometimes reminiscent of Tom Waits or Beefheart,
But then it breaks into an upbeat catchy Jazzy Bluesy chorus to bring back the smiles and light heartedness to the weezle.
This part Vocally has somthing Zappa-esque in the way it's delivered.

It's a much more loose number than any of CW's previous catalogue with a free flowing
Keyboard brought by the "Wunderkind" Axel Steinbiss with gives it a warm Jazz blues feel to the track.

Each Chorus has an alternate ending, during the keyboard solo we can hear a man arguing with his lady
Then hitting the bar for a few drinks, the track ends with a blues turnaround that never turns around and finishes in the Abyss.

lyrics

Nobody knows the troubles I've seen
And why would anyone even care?
It's true that no one knows you when your down and out,
They just stop and stare, I tell ya boy there ain't no doubt

Babe I was always there for you when times were tough
And I couldn't love you enough
But where were you when I was down and out
Oh lord I just need a woman!

(Chorus)
Who cooks and cleans and fullfills my wildest wet dreams
And thinks that the sun shines out the crack of my ass,
One that knows how to suck on a lolly pop
And make sweet lovin, They aint a dime a dozen
So roll out your red carpet baby Ill be walkin' your way
Give me the key to your heart and I just might stay
Long enough for you to suck me dry
Baby I need Sweet lovin

Well She went and cried me a river and I went and drank it dry
But at the bottom of the bottle I never found the answer why
Why I could never drown my friend of mysery
And I could never wash away the pain

Talking bout the pain that could drive miss daisy insane
And she was pretty fucked up
But what will you do when you get this blue?
Oh lord I just need a woman!

(Chorus repeats)
Long enough for you to rob me blind
When you know I need the money!

Guy:Come on now sugar you know I need the money
I mean what am I gonna do?

Gal: I know you're just gonna go to some bar and drink yourself stiff

Guy:Bar tender! Yeah we're gonna need a lil' pick me up here
Gimme a quadruple bourbon

Guy2:Nectar o' da Gods baby!

Oh lord I just still a woman!

(Chorus repeats)
Long enough for you to watch me die
When I don't wanna leave you!
